“Updates on In-human Testing of Male Contraceptive Products" Male Contraceptive Initiative launched a series of virtual discussions affectionately titled “The Lemonade Stand” in order to provide learning opportunities while fostering a sense of collaboration amongst the male contraception research community during the quarantine related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The eighteenth session featured presentations from researchers working to develop next generation male contraceptives who have begun testing their products in humans. Attendees heard from representatives from YourChoice Therapeutics and Contraline, as well as the team developing novel hormonal male contraceptives. Panelists provided an overview of their work in the context of clinical trials in an effort to provide timely updates about male birth control methods being tested in people as well as to help demystify the timelines related to drug development. This film shares that discussion. |
