Field trips to the Farm $100 per hr (2-hour min)

Kids get up close and personal with a cow, donkeys, pig, and 2 goats, . Arrival at the farm is in am.
On arrival, the group will be told about safety around the animals and some fun facts about horses and farm animals. There will be stations set up for the child's fun. UTV tour ride out in 20 acre field with horses walking around us. The group is allowed to pet the horses and see how they live. The group will have opportunity to pet and give treat to a cow, 2 goats, mini horses, as well as meet our Rare Breed horse called the Gypsy Vanners, Legacy and Comet full siblings. Each child will be able to have their picture taken with the breed in the rare opportunity as their are only approx. 8,500 in the united states and will go extinct in years to come if breed helped. This majestic horse breed can be read about on vanners.org. see below for more information on the breed. Each child including the adults is able to go on a Mentor held walk on the back of a horse/pony ride in enclosed are. While at the farm, the kids will be able to paint/ groom/ braid and love on a horse and wash off (depending on temp and weather). Each child will have a different experience on the HWH farm as we are very interactive.
Costs for trip to the farm: Bring up to 20 kids for minimum of 2 hours onsite (not including adults). Utv ride, Horse rides, feeding the farm animals (pigs, goats, cow) and painting the pony’s. Each additional person after 20 is $5.00 each. Adults will have no charge with group. Minimum cost of 2 hours and $100 per hour. Call for scheduling for 2024-2025 school year. Liability waivers and closed toed shoes required to go on top of horse, sneakers are ok. No Crocs or Flip Flops as it is unsafe.
At Your school we are able to offer pony/horse rides and patting the horses. We can arrive on site 2 hour minimum costs and we can let kids pat the horses and be given a pony/Horse ride. You are able to cycle through all your grades at that school for this fun activity. We will a large horse for older kids and adults, a pony for smaller kids, and Jiggy and French Fry our very small minis. When we come to you! Costs $200 the first hour and $100 per hour after that. (Fuel Charge of $50 if further than 25 miles) Liability waivers and closed toed shoes required to go on top of horse, sneakers are ok. No Crocs or Flip Flops as it is unsafe.
The Gypsy Vanner Horse is a beautiful breed envisioned by the Gypsies of Great Britain. This horse was selectively bred for over half a century from a vision to create the perfect horse to pull the Gypsy caravan. In 1996 the first Gypsy Vanner Horses came to North America and the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society was established as a registry for the breed. At that time the breed did not have a name, and the name Gypsy Vanner Horse was chosen, because the breed was a Gypsy’s “vanner horse”, bred to pull the colorful caraVAN.
They Gypsy Vanner is often referred to as a “people-sized” draft horse. The genetic origins of the breed include the Shire, the Clydesdale, and the native British ponies such as the Dales. The Gypsy Vanner is not a color breed. It is a body type with heavy bone and broad body like a draft, but with the majority of the breed standing 14-15 hands at the withers. The Gypsy Vanner comes in any color, solid, tobiano and splash. The first characteristic often noticed is the abundance of feather flowing from behind the knees and hocks, as well as the long free flowing mane and tail. In addition to amazing looks the Gypsy Vanner posses a temperament that is friendly and engaging.
Originally bred to pull the Gypsy wagon, these horse are now being used in all disciplines. You will see them pulling carts and carriages, ridden in the dressage ring, as well as over fences and as western pleasure horses. The Gypsy Vanner is a wonderful family horse and is popular as a trail or therapy horse due to its unflappable nature.
