​Hi all,

Wow, what a year. We are now a year old. We have gone through bumps, turns, mistakes, successes, and ever-changing needs of the area. There was no road map to success other than our heart, dedication, and love for the community and learning the community's needs. We are growing fast, and this year will be an awesome year! Looking back in 2023, we became a nonprofit in December 2022 What the community support accomplished!

• Increased our herd with older better-trained horses (15 horses, 4 miniature horses, 3 ponies, 2 micro horse minis, 5 mini donkeys, 1 cow, 1 pot belly pig, 2 goats, 1 barn cat
• Secured state contracts for children in foster care All counties.
• Delivered 200 comfort care backpacks and 240 XL duffle bags to the foster care system ( each backpack had pajamas, throw blankets, toiletries, activities, and a stuffy to make the first night taken away from home easier)
• Started working with the Scott/ Mississippi County Juvenile system ( a new appreciation for our Juvenile officers, not an easy job by far)
• Summer camp partnered by Layton Horse and Donkey Farm LLC & Barks Plantation (campground) - completed 7 weeks of overnight camp for 60 kids total. Learned a lot from the children and more of the needs for summer for next year. (kids from as far as 6 hours away drove to camp)
• Christmas Secret Santa 52 children in 2022 and 2023 a whopping 77 kids!
• Increased program participants to 47 a week 22 families
• Contract with Healthy Blue in December 2023 for those diagnosed on the spectrum.
• Completed various charitable events.
• Various fundraisers and sponsorships throughout the year keeping the program running for the 47 kids.
• Help 194 kids throughout the year learn life skills, healthy relationships, increase self-esteem.
• Started serving children, currently 45 kids a week in our program)

Great things are happening this year. Our goal is to help,100 kids a week through horsemanship with the communities continued support and Sponsorship! Goals for 2024!

• Serve 9 counties in the Bootheel area ( all schools and children's facilities)
• Horsemanship of 250 children a week ongoing life skills support to youths 2-21 during 8 am to 6 PM
• Summer camp partnered with Layton Horse and Donkey Farm LLC (campground) Monday to Thursday 200 kids total with 25 each week. working on life skills (separate boys' weeks girls’ weeks, and under 10yrs)
• Create 8 jobs within the program.
• Create 4 internships.
• Go to 3 nursing homes a month with horses to spread joy to the community's older population.
• Fall Launch Veteran Program (run by a veteran)
• Indoor arena for climate and weather control 80x100.
• Bathroom installed late 2024-2025
• use of Cabins from Late 2024 to 2025 at Partner Layton Horse and Donkey Farm LLC
• Bus/ Van to pick up and drop off children needing transport.
• 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday. Offer flexible scheduling to serve those children for life skills.

Here at Hearts with Hooves Inc., we have been molding into what’s best for the community helping our children in the Bootheel area.
