The Huntington Historical Society Resource Center and Archives
The purpose of the Huntington Historical Society's Resource Center and Archives is to discover, collect, preserve, and make available for research books, pamphlets, broadsides, newspapers, periodicals, photographs, maps, atlases, manuscripts, audio-visual and other materials relevant to Huntington history. The society also collects material on those aspects of American, Northeast, New York, and Long Island history which have substantially involved or affected Huntington. In addition, the Resource center and Archives collects reference material which supports the objectives and programs of the Society and its museum.
The Archive is housed in the Trade School Building, which was expanded in 2016 to accommodate the growing collection.

The Society holds library and archival materials including books, periodicals, manuscript material, oral history recordings, maps and atlases, ephemera, microforms, photographs & postcards, and more relating to the Town of Huntington.

Archives Access
The Resource Center and Archives is located in the former Huntington Sewing and Trade School at 209 Main Street, Huntington Village.
Appointments are required for all researchers. Masks may be required based on current levels of community COVID-19 transmission.
There is a $10.00 donation per person per day for use of the collection. There is no charge for Huntington Historical Society members or students. Photocopies are 25¢ each.
