Reference Book Collection Related to Huntington History

The Society’s reference book collection is available on site to members and the general public. This diverse collection, of interest to the local or family historian or scholar, also contains materials to support the society, its programs and overall collections.

It consists of genealogies including family histories and volumes on how to conduct research, the Nellie Ritch Scudder Collection of Long Island Genealogical Records, publications of the Scudder Family Association, British and Irish Source material, cemetery records, local church records, Town of Huntington and Long Island histories, New York State and Northeast regional histories, local government publications, Long Island geology, biographies, and books on decorative arts.​
