Annual apPealDear Friend of the Society,
As we approach the holidays please accept our warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season. It has been the Huntington Historical Society’s honor to serve as stewards of Huntington’s heritage for over 120 years. Our team, comprised of staff, trustees and volunteers, work collaboratively throughout the year addressing preservation challenges at the historic properties and collections entrusted to our care. As we begin to plan for the year ahead, we are reminded of the remarkable community we live in and grateful for your past support of our preservation and educational programs. The Society’s future is bright because of you our members, volunteers and sponsors. We invite you to remain a part of the important work that we do by supporting our Annual Appeal. Your donation will allow us to continue providing quality educational programming and continue our mission of preservation and historical research. We are planning some important preservation work at our Dr. Daniel Kissam Property in 2025, in preparation for America’s 250th anniversary. Our focus will be the Sheep Shed and the Rogers Barn. In 1972, the circa 1790 Rogers barn was donated to the Huntington Historical Society. Now 50 years later, it needs repair to stabilize the barn, repair the façade and update the electrical system. Thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation to the Huntington Historical Society. Those donating $75 or greater will be entered in our raffle for a $100 gift card to Red Bar & Restaurant. With warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season, Stephanie Gotard & Lorraine Kelley Executive Director President |

Help us Preserve Huntington’s History
Your donation helps the Huntington Historical Society care for a priceless collection of documents, photographs, furniture, artwork, textiles, and artifacts; provide our education programs with the resources to serve local schools and scouting groups; welcome over 800 attendees free of charge to our annual Sheep to Shawl and Apple Festivals; and preserve and interpret the four properties on the National Register of Historical places in our care.
Your tax deductible contribution will help keep Huntington’s history alive for future generations! |
