Board Member
The Board Member is responsible for ensuring that the foundation achieves its goals in a sustainable and profitable way. This includes ensuring that the foundation is financially sound, has the right team in place, and is on track to achieve its long-term goals. The Board Member will also serve as a liaison between the foundation and donors, and will help to shape the foundation’s strategy.

- Reviewing monthly financials and providing projections for future performance
- Reviewing quarterly reports with management team to ensure goals are being met
- Ensuring that the foundation has an effective line of communication with donors including reviewing quarterly donor decks, participating in quarterly donor calls, and making introductions as needed
- Helping to shape foundation strategy by reviewing proposals from management team
- Liaising with donors by attending donor conferences and industry events
- As appropriate, meet with prospective donors or other parties if necessary
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Contribute to working committees and produce deliverables
Grant Writer
The Foundation has created a Grant Committee to work exclusively on grant writing to pursue funding from Federal, State, Corporate, and Private sources. The team works closely with the Museum Director to understand how the Foundation can help with museum funding initiatives.
Grant Writers are responsible for managing the grant process, from creation of the narrative to acceptance of the grant, managing how the funds are implemented, and overseeing status reports are generated back to the initiating grantor.
This role includes researching and securing funding sources, writing narratives and budgets, outreach to community partners, developing timelines, evaluating proposals against funding criteria, collaborating with the board and staff to ensure meeting goals and objectives, and presenting the findings of the research to the Board of Directors.

Event Assistant

Fundraising Coordinator
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for helping the Foundation achieve its fundraising goals by enlisting the support of donors and prospects. This includes research, prospecting, stewardship and providing donor service.

- Research and prospect donors to identify those with a potential interest in the organization’s mission, vision and values
- Plan, organize and execute special events to raise money for the organization
- Provide donor service by answering questions about the organization’s programs or policies, coordinating donations to specific areas of need, or providing information about giving opportunities
- Promote giving at all levels of the organization through presentations, meetings and other channels
- Work with the development team to implement fundraising campaigns
- Work with Marketing to implement digital fundraising campaigns
- Work with Communications to implement public relations campaigns
- Track progress on fundraising goals
- Attend periodic meetings
