Adult Lecture Series and Summer Youth Program
The Angels Camp Museum Foundation's educational programs are the Lecture Series and the Youth Program. The Lecture Series runs from Fall through Spring, and the Youth Series runs in the Summer months.
Adult Lecture Series: A Step Back in Time
The Lecture Series is a program of educational talks or presentations organized by the Angels Camp Museum Foundation and hosted at the Angels Camp Museum in the Carriage House. It consists of lectures, discussions, or presentations on a specific topic or theme related to the Museum's collections, exhibits, or broader cultural subjects. The classes are given by experts, scholars, curators, or guest speakers who share knowledge and insights with the audience. They engage the community, promote learning, and foster a deeper understanding of our culture. They offer opportunities for individuals to explore art, history, science, or any other field in-depth. These topics may cover artists or historical periods, scientific discoveries, or cultural phenomena.
The series starts in October and runs through April, occurring monthly on the first Sunday of each month from 2:00-3:00 pm in the Museum Carriage House with no lecture in January. Refreshments are available starting at 1:30 pm. Lecture admission is $10.00 per person with complimentary refreshments.
Everyone is welcome to attend the Angels Camp Museum Foundation Lecture Series. All proceeds from the program support the Angels Camp Museum. Admission fees are applied directly to the current fundraising campaign. If you have ideas for future lecture topics, please Contact Us.
Summer Youth Program
The Youth Program is a set of activities designed specifically for young people. The program engages and educates children, teenagers, and young adults by providing them with unique opportunities to explore and learn about the museum's collections, exhibits, and related topics in the community. The program aims to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for art, history, culture, and science among young audiences. The program provides a platform for learning, creativity, and personal growth, creating a lifelong connection between young people and the Museum. Each program has a maximum of 30 participants, and programs run 10:00-11:00 a.m., with check-in starting at 9:45 a.m. This program's admission is $10 per youth and $5 per youth with Museum membership. If you have ideas or want to partner with the Angels Camp Museum Foundation for future youth series activities, please contact us.
