SHELLY WOOD
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR With over two decades of experience in program design, operations, and fundraising within Los Angeles' local charity sector, Shelly Wood has successfully secured millions in funding for nonprofit organizations and state agencies through grant applications and special events. Her impressive educational background includes a Juris Doctorate from Western State University School of Law, graduate studies in Public Administration at Wayne State University, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics & Management and Political Science from Albion College in Michigan. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix. Early in her career, Shelly was instrumental in implementing nationally acclaimed restorative justice, arts, and cultural development programs within California's Juvenile Justice division, offering nationwide training to justice advocates with a rehabilitation-centric focus. |
PEDRAM MOSHFEGH
CLINICAL DIRECTOR Mr. Moshfegh is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a master’s degree in psychology from Phillips Graduate University. He has over twenty years of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment and is known for driving excellence in program development, quality improvement, and compliance. Mr. Moshfegh has always been drawn to helping others. As a child, he would volunteer at his local soup kitchen and homeless shelter. After graduating from college with a degree in psychology, Pedram knew he wanted to pursue a career in social work. His experience with Non-profit organizations and residential treatment centers for people with substance abuse problems taught him the importance of patience, compassion, and understanding. He also learned that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Each client had their own unique story and their own set of challenges. Over the years, he saw many of his clients make positive changes in their lives. He helped them to develop coping mechanisms, build relationships, and find hope for the future. Mr. Moshfesh is a leader in the field of social work. He is known for his expertise in trauma-informed care and cultural competency. He was also a passionate advocate for social justice. His passion for quality ensures programs deliver effective services. His leadership skills, compassion, and care make him a valuable asset to our clinical programs and clients. |

JOSE AGUILAR
ASSISTANT RPM & OUTPATIENT SUPERVISOR Mr. Aguilar is a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor with over 15 years of expertise in addiction treatment. His extensive background encompasses substance abuse, incarceration, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and homelessness. Jose earned an associate's degree in Human Services from Los Angeles City College. Recognizing addiction as a disease, he emphasizes the essential role of quality treatment in achieving lasting recovery. Mr. Aguilar adopts a strengths-based, solutions-focused, person-centered approach, empowering clients to leverage their unique talents and resources in finding their paths to recovery. Beyond his professional life, he finds joy in music, cherishes moments with his wife and family, and remains committed to lifelong learning and exploring new adventures. |
ROBERT REYES
EXECUTIVE CHEF Mr. Reyes has found deep fulfillment in his role as Chef, preparing food and catering neighborhood events for Grandview, since 2107. With a passion for creating top-tier cuisine infused with love and care alongside his Grandview Kitchen Crew, he remains devoted in his commitment to delivering dining experiences that evoke a sense of home for clients. Having journeyed through recovery himself, Mr. Reyes shares a relatable bond with those he serves, making his connection with the men who come to Grandview is especially rewarding. His faith and gratitude for his own transformation drives him to be a supportive father to his amazing children and a source of inspiration for others embarking on their recovery and living a healthy life. |

Christopher ChaneyPRESIDENT
Mr. Chaney graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. He earned his law degree from Whittier School of Law and has been practicing criminal defense since 1979; currently, he is in private practice in Pasadena. Mr. Chaney is past president of the Criminal Courts Bar Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, past member of the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar, chairman of the Executive Board of the Indigent Criminal Defense Association, and chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Pasadena Bar Association. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2003, 2013, and 2018. A resident of La Cañada, he was honored for contributions to the community in 2004 and 2008. |

Nancy MercolinoTREASURER
Ms. Mercolino, founder of Ceilings Plus, an architectural, engineering, and manufacturing company in East Los Angeles, managed as CEO for 32 years. In the late 80’s, Ceilings Plus started hiring ex-gang members, some with addictions, for factory positions. The courage and trust these men have had over decades have been instrumental to the growth and success of Ceilings Plus. Ceilings Plus started as a small company bringing in $100,000 in revenue and was recently sold for $52 million. These young men, now older, still work at Ceilings Plus today, helping others on the same path of success that they’ve experienced. Ms. Mercolino joined the Grandview Board to help men, just like the men she helped at Ceilings Plus, find employment and lead positive lives. |

Andy RodemichSECRETARY
Mr. Rodemich, a proud LA native from Pasadena, leads a life dedicated to community service through Real Estate, currently affiliated with Engel & Volkers, previously Dilbeck Real Estate. His passion for Grandview stems from his firsthand experience with substance abuse and his triumphant journey to over twenty-five years of sobriety. His strong ties to the recovery community reflect his extensive history of service, assisting numerous local treatment centers as an advisor and hands-on helper. Recognizing the challenges men face, he views the Grandview Foundation as a sanctuary for those seeking help and is genuinely honored to play a pivotal role in the life-changing process available to them. Mr. Rodemich is also deeply committed to youth development, serving as the head Track & Field and Cross-Country coach for a local high school. His personal life is marked by a loving marriage to his wife Sara, and their two daughters. |

Mike AntenesseBOARD MEMBER
Mr. Antenesse, originally from Brooklyn, New York, has lived in California since 1976. He enjoyed a successful 20-year career with major home textile companies, including Waverly Fabrics, before transitioning to the non-profit sector. He served as the Administrative Pastor at Calvary Chapel West Grove and spent seven years in non-profit banking before joining Foothill Unity Center as Chief Administrative Officer in 2015. A dedicated Rotarian since 2001, Mr. Antenesse actively participates in six Chambers of Commerce in the San Gabriel Valley. He serves on the boards of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the Volunteer Center of the San Gabriel Valley. His commitment to serving underserved populations stems from his childhood experience of receiving food assistance. Mike's dedication to helping the economically disadvantaged is evident in his role at Foothill Unity Center, which will surely help Grandview, where he works to connect resources and support long-term recovery for men in their care. |

Mark RiceBOARD MEMBER
Mr. Rice provides pro bono guidance on marketing strategy, communications, website design, and grant writing for several local nonprofit organizations, including Pasadena Community Foundation, Journey House, Pasadena Village, the Convalescent Aid Society, and Jericho Road. From 2010-2014, he served as program director of the LA office of Taproot and a grant writer for Barlow Respiratory Hospital. Before beginning his association with the nonprofit world in 2011, Mr. Rice enjoyed a successful 30-year career in marketing and advertising at Ogilvy and MindShare. He provided marketing support for several large U.S. and global clients, including 20th Century Fox, Kimberly Clark, Duracell, Boost Mobile, and BP, working in the New York, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles offices. |

Charlie FrankowskiBOARD MEMBER
Mr. Frankowski graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a B.S., B.A., and Master Degree in Fine Arts/Advertising Design and served in the U.S. Army at N.A.T.O. With over 25 years work in the grocery business in executive roles, most recently as president of C.M.C. sales and marketing. He is known for his successful business development, strategic planning, optimizing profits, team building, and negotiating mergers and acquisitions. Honors include the National Conference for Community & Justice Humanitarian Award (1999), the Good Scout of the Year Award (1999), the City of Hope Humanitarian Award (2000), and the Jerry Buss Humanitarian Award. Additionally, he has served on several boards, including the City of Hope Southern California (1990 – 2000), M.D.A. Board Vice-President (1995-2000), and the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts of America. |

Victor MonteleoneBOARD MEMBER
Mr. Monteleone comes to Grandview with a deep commitment to his personal recovery journey, celebrating sobriety since 1996 through an unwavering commitment, exemplified by his adherence to attending multiple meetings each week. His journey has been marked by dedication and transformation. His professional path led him from Lindenwood University in St Charles, Missouri, to the alcohol distribution industry for a decade, then transitioning into paper sales at Kirk Paper before heading back into the family business of personal content care and interior restoration 25 years ago. Today, he is the proud owner and operator of Monteleone Interiors, known as an industry leader and distinguished Los Angeles-based company. Mr. Monteleone is a devoted husband and shares the joys of parenthood, raising three children. His journey is a testament to his resilience and personal growth. |
