Trail trekkers' annual meeting
An Evening of Foggy Storytelling
Thursday, January 30, 2025, 6:30 pm Hana Gardens Senior Center, 10870 San Pablo Avenue Fog is crucial to Bay Area ecosystems, providing summertime moisture for redwoods and aiding water and nutrient cycles. It infuses our art and identities as Bay Area residents. Learn how scientists map this shape-shifting moisture as they work to predict climate change impacts on our beloved, elusive fog. Speaker Alicia Torregrosa, a scientist for many years with the U.S. Geological Survey, initiated the USGS Pacific Coastal Fog Project, which resulted in an international and interdisciplinary expansion of coastal fog research. This is Trekkers’ Annual meeting. Before the talk we will briefly discuss our goals, activities, and finances, invite comments and questions, and vote for officers. Free. Light refreshments. |
