Meet Our Executive Board!
Kay FarmerKay is a wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and educator. She and her husband currently live in Oklahoma. After retiring from the USAF in 1995, Kay began her personal wellness journey learning about nutrition and health conscious living. She is now on a mission to empower other parents to make informed choices when it comes to caring for themselves and their families.
While pursuing education for certification as a Personal Health and Nutrition coach, Kay discovered there is a great deal of marketing hype and wide-spread marketing deception. This makes it very confusing for people to decipher what actually is helpful and supportive for optimal health verses what isn't and/or what can actually be harmful. After attending a live presentation of A Wellness Journey class presented by Larry and Angie Law of Angie’s Option GRM, Kay was so disturbed by the education she was exposed to she decided to join forces with other like-minded individuals in the international GrassRoots Movement (GRM). Angelica OrrAngelica is happily married to the best man in the world who supports her in her big ideas. She is the lucky mom to three awesome kids. She loves to spend time with them learning together as a family, being outdoors, and finding new places to explore. She also loves cooking and feeding people good food, and yoga is her favorite exercise. Someday she wants a house on the beach with a giant kitchen and lots of windows.
Angelica is passionate about mentoring and loves working with students in her family’s homeschool group, or with people seeking education about health. She studied biology in college and has always had a fascination with the innate intelligence of the human body to function and heal itself. She joined the GRM as a volunteer after she attended the Wellness Journey Class in 2016. What Angie and Larry taught resonated with her as she sought for answers for her own health and that of close family members. Since then she has been on a journey of healing and personal development and appreciates the success principles she has learned for all areas of health. It brings Angelica great joy to work with Angie and Larry and the other volunteers of the GRM to share these principles with others. |
Alicia HowardAlicia lives in Utah, is married to her best friend, and a mother to five beautiful children. For most of her life, she has been interested in the body and how to best take care of it. As a mother, she has worked to find balance in feeding her family foods that will nourish and support optimal development. She resonated with what Angie's Option, GRM taught and was drawn to the educational format of their Wellness Journey Class.
A self-proclaimed personal development junkie, Alicia joined the Executive Board after attending her first Personal Development Bootcamp hosted by the Law's in October of 2017. With a knack for seeing the big picture, Alicia has brought a mother's insight to our strategic planning and outreach efforts. Alicia graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a degree in piano performance and is currently a student at BYU-Idaho, studying Social Media Marketing. Terry PowerTerry is currently studying full-time at Western Illinois University (WIU), Macomb, IL for her second bachelor’s degree. This time it’s a B.S. in Dietetics. She’s a Member of Centennial Honors Society and volunteers with WIU’s Food Pantry and Student Association for Nutrition Education.
She also works two part-time jobs… in her spare time. She likes learning; especially where health and wellness is concerned and has an interest in teaching others that there is hope when it comes to improving their health. Terry brings a unique perspective due her B.S. in Small Business Mgt.. and her 15 years of work experience with the non-profit Great Commission Broadcasting, Quincy, IL. She’s recently an empty-nester after homeschooling two boys that have now reached manhood. |
