Check out Tour of Toys from 2022 & 2023!
What does the IE Tour of Toys mean to us?
A few words from our team...
The world is in a fragile state and it’s ever-more important that we focus on what matters.
Giving has always mattered to me. But it’s a balance, right?
I learned by watching my dad that when you give more than you have, it results in lack and undue stress to make up for what was lost. And it creates a cycle of scarcity.
I learned from my mom to give from a place of love, with a connection to the person receiving, so the moment will echo with gratitude. But to also be careful that the giving doesn’t validate your worth, or you will end up feeling empty.
Give what you can, when you can, from the heart and know your value. That’s the balance.
Many national holidays center around material goods as a way to give. And that often conflicts me because my love language has always been quality time, I love spending time with people I love. But I also realize there are so many in need. And that is why we create events with a free market to distribute items to people in need, on a consistent basis.
This time of year is special, no matter what holiday you observe or embrace, there’s a sense of gratitude and warmth that permeates spaces in a natural way - without all the decor.
That is the heart and center of our work as a nonprofit. And it is the reason we collab with orgs like @fentwoodhoops to bring the Tour of Toys to the Inland Empire - which is situated in the biggest county in the US with the most disparities.
If you are able to donate toys to this effort, it is graciously appreciated. If you are not able, then please sign up and be open to receive! ✨
Take a moment to connect with our team on the 21st & 22nd (Riverside) and make beautiful memories at the end of a tough year."
Cities include:
- Fontana led by @kareemgongora
- Rialto led by @vickiedaviswellness
- Riverside led by @gracietorres
- Colton led by @fentwoodhoops
- SB led by @strongertogethernow_ie & @sbvcoutreach
- Redlands led by @strongertogethernow_ie
We invite other orgs and sponsors to get directly involved in whatever way they feel pulled.
May this season bless all of you with inner peace that transcends our world.
