Two diseases drove a societal wedge in 2020
Racism & COVID-19
BOTH changed the world as we knew it & BOTH created opportunities for change.

We are Stronger Together Now,
a ground roots collective within southern CA,
that created a mission-driven nonprofit.
Out of disconnect,
from uncertainty,

We service all of the Inland Empire with the intention to enable, educate & empower.

especially those most heavily impacted by racism, COVID-19 and inequity.

The main examples of outreach
that have directly impacted the Inland Empire:
Community Outreach
This includes clean-ups & park restoration efforts in inner city areas that are plagued with trash,
book drives, & community events in Redlands and San Bernardino via our Giving Markets.
Youth Enablement & Empowerment
Historically, this took place through our Kids Sports Bubble during the pandemic and book drives run by the local Black Student Union. Now, with partnership through SB Valley College, students can enroll into dual enrollment curriculum under the Youth Empowerment Program. Students will receive college credit for the following: 1) Impactful Community Service, 2) Career Readiness, 3) Socio-Emotional Learning & 4) Financial Literacy. We also offer academic and mentorship programs through the SB City Unified School District that bridge collective efforts towards youth enablement and empowerment.
Local Leadership Accountability
This is evident through our Giving Sunday's series and include events like the SoulFood Fest, Juneteenth Jam! & La Más Festival, where local leadership is directly involved. This also includes attending city council, school board and other local meetings, to vocalize issues needing to be addressed and organizing/strategizing to ensure collective change.
Empower the People
We do this in a personal, open way with those who are receptive. Our team shares dialogue on important local and global issues. A staple at our Giving Sunday's series is open mic to allow vendors, people in the community, local leadership and businesses to discuss successes as well as issues. We also had LiveIG sessions during Women's History Month known as "Empower Her Hour".

STRONGER TOGETHER NOWReminds people of how good it feels to:
|
We dispel the notion that one cannot thrive and is unable. We are enablers.
We help others to find their own strength and purpose, by reminding them of their part in the greater whole. We remind the people of their power and they remind us, of ours. |
Connected. It's a feeling that has become even more important since the pandemic hit and families have been distanced from each other as well as other members of the community.

STN Giving Events
STN Giving EventsPart of the mission of Stronger Together Now is to improve connectedness and also provide resources to the people of Inland Empire. Our main purpose is to enable, educate and empower those who have been marginalized historically, and create events that are inclusive in nature.
Even aside from Black History, Women's History, AAPI, Pride and Hispanic Heritage months, we have consistent, inclusive, culturally significant events with various cities throughout the Inland Empire. We collaborate with other orgs to provide donated resources available to anyone in need. Most items include hygiene, clothing, books, food and toys. STN Events are our way to provide resources locally to the community. Continue scrolling to view a few of our most popular events. |
SoulFood Fest The SoulFood Fest Part I & II, brings awareness and showcases the positives of the black community in the form of a "cookout". We keep it to black-owned food vendors or those known to make the best soul food in the region. We have a food tasting contest with 7-8 judges and prizes that include free marketing packages for winning vendors. We also create space for Spades, Dominoes & Chess games with the help of local business, Board Game Paradise. Local musicians and DJs perform, and Black Voice Network is an official partner of Giving Sundays.
The most recent SoulFood Fest II took place on 9/24/23 and had ~1500 attendees throughout the duration of the event which began at 11am and ended at 5pm. On the artisan market side, SFFII included 23 local vendors + 7 nonprofits, 11 food vendors. On the free market side, SFFII team properly fitted 75 kids + 25 adults for helmets to coincide and amplify Pedestrian Safety month with partnership between SCAG and Go Human. In addition to the helmet giveaway, STN also provided hygiene items for free distribution to the public. It included 175 additional items that were all successfully distributed throughout the day. |
Juneteenth Jam!Juneteenth Jam! is a collaborative effort to recognize & celebrate the National Holiday, Juneteenth, hosting a day of celebration at Fergusson Park in Rialto with Tomorrow's World, a 501(c)3 organization. The intention is to recognize the diverse-lived experience and honor the cultural history of Juneteenth.
The Juneteenth Jam! attracts attendees from all walks of life that will support the participating vendors, artists, musicians, speakers and businesses. Attendees can expect movies, food, live music, basketball tournaments, Skatepark Takeover, dance instruction, as well as a free community market. The collaborative effort recognizes the diverse-lived experience and honor cultural history of Juneteenth. The Juneteenth Day of Celebration attracts attendees from all walks of life that will support the participating vendors. |
La Mas FestivalThe La Mas Festival celebrates all Hispanic, Latine, Indigenous, Chicana, & Mexican cultures through a musical festival with local bands including a 9-piece salsa band, free community salsa lessons, dances/performers, showcasing of local artists, giving market and artisan vendor market.
We have an open mic policy at STN Events and local leaders speak on the current movements, such as ICE Detention Centers, missing Indigena Women/Girls, Street Vendor issues, Political movements, marginalization, voter suppression, etc... |

Academic and community support helps to develop new habits and skills through supportive strategies that increase their well-being and academic choices/routines. This resiliency allows students to enjoy aspects of school that previously posed a challenge/threat and supports them to remain in school and improve their academic performance. STN’s goal is to do whatever it takes to remove barriers by working with local schools, communities, and service organizations to help youth reach their highest potential. SB City USD approved STN educational offerings for the next five years! It is currently available for schools to adopt. |
