The DAYA Foundation has partnered with Sarahjoy and yogajoy to bring yoga teacher trainings to teachers of every level. We offer 200-hour, 300-hour, and 800-hour programs as well as Trauma-Informed, Brain-Sensitive Trainings.
Trauma-Informed, Brain-Sensitive Teacher Training(TIBS) is designed for certified yoga teachers and mental health professionals who are interested in bringing trauma-informed care into classrooms, outreach locations, and into professional settings. amrita Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training which prepares teachers to teach mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, ayurvedically- influenced vinyasa yoga.
Professional Yoga Training is a 300-hour Teacher Training program preparing teachers to provide yoga classes, workshops and series for individuals and small groups with special focuses on adaptive yoga, Ayurvedic restorative yoga, and yoga for conditions such as anxiety, depression, lower back pain, neurological conditions, or those recovering from (or trying to prevent) injuries. This training also prepares Allied Health Professionals to integrate yoga tools into their private practice or public service roles.
IAYT Yoga Therapy Training is an 800-hour training preparing teachers to become certified yoga therapists. Please note that our 300-hour training school is also the first 300 hours of this training program. Upon completion of the 300-hour Professional Yoga Training, accredited with both the Yoga Alliance (at their 500hr RYT Level) and as foundational curriculum for our school accredited with the International Association of Yoga Therapists, students begin a Mentored Practicum of 150-hours and continue on to 350-hours of additional study in specific modules toward their 800-hour certification.
