Meet Alexandria

Hi, I’m Alexandria Matthews, and I’m passionate about empowering young women to embrace their potential and find confidence in the world of web programming. I firmly believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, young women can overcome challenges and achieve remarkable things, both in technology and beyond.

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, and now I’m based in Houston, TX. My journey has given me a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities young people face. I’m dedicated to breaking down barriers and stereotypes, especially for girls in technology, and inspiring them to see coding as a powerful tool to bring their ideas to life. Through mentorship, I help my students build technical skills while developing the confidence to dream big and stay focused on their goals.

I have truly enjoyed supporting POH girls in the coding and technical space. It has been a joy to promote their happiness and see them grow! 

With a background in cloud engineering, web programming, and marketing, I bring a wealth of knowledge to every mentoring relationship. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee and have since used my expertise to create opportunities for young women in technology.

My mission is to create a space where young women feel supported, encouraged, and excited about their future in tech. I believe that with determination, curiosity, and a solid foundation in programming, they can build futures full of possibility. Through mentorship, I’m committed to making a lasting impact on the next generation of female tech leaders.
