A SHUDDER original, Brooklyn 45 is a 2023 American real-time supernatural thriller, written and directed by Ted Geoghegan about a group of military veterans holding an impromptu séance in the parlor of a Brooklyn brownstone at the close of World War II. Geoghegan penned the screenplay with assistance from his late father, a disabled Air Force veteran-turned-history teacher.
Uncover the darkest secrets of war and friendship as five military veterans confront the ghosts of their pasts. Starring: Anne Ramsay, Ron E. Rains, and Jeremy Holm (of Vergennes!) This show is sponsored by GAINES INSURANCE. For a sneak-peak at the film, here's a link to the trailer: |

In 2023, Leroy Preston enlisted the services of Unknown Blues Band veterans, Chas Eller (also in Waltham), Paul Asbell, and Clyde Stats, as well as drummer Jeff Salisbury of Bob Stannard and those Dangerous Bluesmen, to record a new collection of songs that Leroy had written. The band went into Lane Gibson’s Charlotte, VT studio and recorded what Leroy is calling, “a songwriter’s album”—an album that is performed by the songwriter himself. While it is likely that other artists may want to cover these new tunes, this show is an opportunity to hear the music the way the writer intended. In addition to an already top-notch band, the show will feature outstanding guest horn player Michael Zsoldis, as well as the wonderful Vermont-based female vocalists, Taryn Noelle, a Western Swing Female Vocalist of the Year (2019), who will perform some of Leroy’s early hits covered by women artists.
Preston has an impressive musical history, not only as the co-founder of the renowned Texas-based group, Asleep At the Wheel, but also as a songwriter. He has written numerous songs for various artists, including a #1 hit on the Country Charts for Rosanne Cash (“My Baby Thinks He’s a Train”) followed up by another top-10 hit for her (“I Wonder”). He has also co-written songs for k.d. Lang, Los Lobos, the Cate Brothers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ruth Brown, Maria Muldaur, Asleep at the Wheel, and others. After many years in Nashville, Leroy returned to his home state of Vermont where has been living with his wife, Jan, in Waltham. Our Media Sponsor for this event is Hall Communications - WIZN, WOKO, 99 the BUZZ, KOOL105, and WJOY AM. https://www.hallradio.com/vermont |

One of the premier torchbearers of Deep Soul and Roots music, Dave Keller’s dynamic, high energy performances have earned him a legion of fans throughout the U.S. and Europe. Three-time BMA nominee for Best Soul Blues Album, Keller and his “tighter than tight” band (Blues Music Magazine) have performed in almost every state east of the Mississippi river and quite a few west of it. His touring schedule regularly includes some of the largest and most respected festivals and venues in the U.S. With his recent European tour and glowing articles in the European press (Rolling Stone France, Music Republic Magazine UK, etc.) Keller continues to expand his fanbase internationally. His new album, It's Time to Shine, scored as Top Ten for the Big Blues Radio Chart in October and November 2023.
Keller knows how to fill dance floors. But just as importantly, he connects with his fans in a real way, breaking down the barrier between performer and audience, creating an experience that everyone remembers long after the show is over. Since 1993, Keller has performed thousands of shows in New England from his home base in Montpelier, VT. |
