Jeanette Johnson, LPC-A, M.S.
After earning a degree in counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee, Jeanette relocated from Tennessee to Houston, Texas, in early 2022 to continue making a meaningful impact in the mental health field. With a specialized focus on trauma, child and adolescent mental health issues, and parenting skills, Jeanette utilizes an integrative, person-centered approach tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Blending evidence-based techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Jeanette helps clients build emotional resilience, develop healthier thought patterns, and improve overall well-being. Whether working with children, adolescents, or parents, Jeanette emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. Beyond the therapy room, Jeanette is a strong advocate for holistic self-care and mental health awareness. Recognizing that mental wellness extends beyond counseling sessions, she encourages clients to incorporate self-care routines that promote emotional balance and personal growth. In her free time, Jeanette enjoys nature walks, yoga, music, reading, cooking, and traveling, as well as teaching yoga classes and offering full-spectrum doula services. These passions fuel her belief that mind-body connection, self-awareness, and mindfulness are essential elements in achieving lasting emotional well-being. |
