Masbate Event
by Marilou Javinez
On December 17, 2024, the Foundation for the Poor brought the spirit of Christmas to life by organizing a meaningful outreach event in Barangay Sta. Cruz. The activity was dedicated to recognizing and supporting the hardworking Barangay Health Workers and utility personnel who tirelessly serve the community.
As part of this initiative, the Foundation distributed essential goods, including rice, noodles, and canned goods, to these invaluable members of Barangay Sta. Cruz. The gesture was a way to express gratitude for their dedication while helping them prepare for the holiday season.
The event highlighted the essence of Christmas: generosity, appreciation, and unity. Organized with meticulous care, volunteers ensured that each recipient felt valued and acknowledged. The smiles and heartfelt thanks from the barangay workers were a testament to the impact of such simple yet profound acts of kindness.
This outreach program not only celebrated the holiday season but also reinforced the importance of recognizing the contributions of those who keep the community running smoothly. The Foundation for the Poor’s initiative is a shining example of how collective generosity can uplift spirits and foster a stronger sense of community.
As the day concluded, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and joy. It served as a reminder that small gestures of kindness can create meaningful connections and inspire hope, especially during the most wonderful time of the year.

Global Poverty
United Nations Day
October 24, 2023 - Tuesday, 7:00 PM Eastern Time
United Nations Day is a day to reflect on global challenges and the power of international cooperation. One of the most critical issues we face is global poverty.
It's a harsh reality that millions of people around the world continue to live in poverty, lacking access to necessities. On this UN Day, let's reaffirm our commitment to eradicating poverty and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Together, we can make a difference and create a more equitable world for all.
"Take the first step towards making a difference today! Let's raise awareness, take action, and support initiatives working tirelessly to alleviate global poverty."
