Hillandale Farm was probably my favorite farm that we went to. That was a very wholesome trip, and I remember Farmer Max’s passion about biodiversity and hearing that they have a program where people with all kinds of abilities get to strengthen their relationship with food on their farm. Access to knowledge is one of the parts of sustainability that I am extremely passionate about and there is a lot of gratitude I have for increased access to food literacy and sovereignty that Farmer Max and Uli so graciously provide for their community.” - JWU student reflection
Our Programs
Hey Max,
Reviewing course reflections from my class that visited you a couple months ago and despite having six field trips in the course, your trip comes up very often as one of their favorites, and as they reflect the most impactful. They often tell how passionate you all are and how sustainable you are and not only your farm operation, but in your livelihood too.
Thank you so much for being such a great partner over all these years. We're fighting the good fight!!!

"Over the 2024 summer season, Ayers Foundation and Hillandale Farm provided invaluable learning experiences for over 60 youth throughout the duration of Cimalore Summer Camp and for afterschool programming at Westerly Middle School. Most of our youth had limited to no experience with agriculture or farming before our partnership with Ayers. The opportunity to learn about how sustainable farm-to-table food options can benefit one's health and community cannot be understated, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Ayers Foundation in the 2025 summer season and beyond!"
