Guidelines
  • Students may only be awarded one scholarship per camp season.
  • Students who have received a scholarship in previous years may apply. Those who have not received a scholarship previously may be given priority.
  • There is one application form for all scholarships. Please select all scholarships you would like to be considered for. The Major Don Scholarship requires a different essay submission on the same form.
  • Scholarship awards must be used for the camp for which they are designated. Do not select a scholarship if you won’t be able to attend the camp it is linked to.
  • Applications must be filled out by the student who is applying. Parents may assist, but the two essay questions should be the student’s own hand-written words. Junior Astronauts applicants may dictate their responses to the adult helping them (hand-drawn pictures are encouraged for those who don’t write yet).
  • Application forms are due April 4.
  • A scholarship committee will read and evaluate all entries. The scholarship committee members will know only the grade of the letter writer.  All other information such as name, school, and teacher will be withheld.
  • The committee will award scholarships no later than April 25.
  • The remaining camp tuition not covered by the award must be paid in full by May 15.
  • Camp spots are reserved for scholarship winners. If you are attending camp only if you receive a scholarship, do not register until notified of awards. If you are attending either way, pay only the deposit. Scholarships will not trigger tuition reimbursements for overpayment.
  • Scholarship winners will be expected to write a thank you letter or make a thank you video to the donors while they are at camp.
