Children of Chernihiv
Children of Chernihiv is a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian children. We support the children of Ukraine and the community of Chernihiv through various programs and initiatives. We have a vision and our mission is to make a positive impact and create a better future for the children of Ukraine.

The Center
The center focuses on building relationships with the children affected by the war in Ukraine and we provide support in multiple ways. We hold classes of all kinds to give the children the tools that will help them develop, and work towards a brighter future .There are many ways to get involved with Gold & Blue United, and The Children of Chernihiv: from volunteering and donating to attending our events and spreading the word. Who We Are
We are based out of Morgantown, WV! Businesses across the state of West Virginia & Mountaineers across the nation are unifying to support these resilient refugees & to fight for the people of Ukraine!

Who We Are Helping
Your contributions will help Ukrainians who are in need of humanitarian aid and evacuate the citizens who are still living in this nightmare. You're helping people who have fled their homes, leaving everything behind: meet basic everyday needs. We help refugees assimilate into America-by being a virtual support system too. As a community, we help people begin their lives again.
Sending help abroad: We send toys, warm clothes, and essentials to orphans in Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Chernihiv. We also send personal care packages to families we know are suffering. Check out more in our group! (link above)

Our mission: rehab centers across Ukraine for children.
We partnered with Ukrainian Author Sophia Sudak. Sophia opened the center featured above with proceeds from one of her books, and donations from kind people like you. Our mission and dreams are to open centers like the one in Chernihiv across Ukraine. The need for these centers is astronomical. Children are suffering every day and winter is here. The cities we will open centers in next are... Kharkiv and Kyiv. We have a lot of work to do, but when we come together... we can do anything. Children of Chernihiv
We’re newly partnered with the center, but we have supported the children of Ukraine since we began operations in 2022. We send supplies: warm clothes, toys, and essentials. We plan on doing the same for this center! Our long term goal is to have centers across Ukraine that serve the children of Ukraine. We’ve seen how effective these centers are and how much of a difference they have made in the lives of Ukrainian children. Please help us continue to send supplies, and build centers. |
Children of Kyiv
We were able to send hand made hats to Ukrainians in Kyiv! Thanks to several amazing donors! Donations came from local artisans of Iowa, and from our friends down in Barboursville West Virginia! We were able to help so many people. Thank you. * A large amount of the donations will be distributed in the fall of 2024. |
Children of Kharkiv
Valeriy Leyko travels across Kharkiv Ukraine, helping children. He teaches them, and gives hope and inspiration to kids who have lost a lot in such short lives. He distributes toys that we send to the children. Please help us be a support to them. |
