We seek to work with Global Education Advisory Consortium (GEAC) to offer new models of Education to children of Arid and Semi Arid areas of Northwestern Kenya.
With input from GEAC and their parent organization called Center for Amity and Restoration of Earth (CARE), Health Initiatives Mission will seek to expand the Kenya Exploratorium Model School to the Pastoralists tribes of Northwestern Kenya, starting with the Pokot Community along the Kenya-Uganda border.
HIM will work with GEAC and CARE to offer insights of education challenges associated with pastoralists of NW Kenya. These challenges are unique to these communities and would need to be taken into consideration as the Education Restoration Plan is rolled out in Kenya. These are:
Nomadic lifestyle
Cattle Rustling
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
School Clinic
Water for School
