Retiring sound from a winning racing career, Shamm was headed towards a new life as a show jumper when he fell to the hands of some dangerous and deeply dishonest people. By the time they had him a mere six months he was so damaged - his life was in danger. Thanks to Leanne Kuebelbeck, DVM, Peggy Fleming, DVM and Lynn S. Peck, DVM we were able to save his life. Today, many years later, he frolics with his two girlfriends and although he will never be ridden again, he loves his life and his forever home with us.
Moving onto our new farm in 2017, Shamm added another kind and gifted healer to his list of medical friends. Kristi Fox, DVM of Blue Run Veterinary Practice, in Dunnellon, Florida, is now his attending veterinarian. If his response to his first acupuncture and chiropractic treatments from her are any indication what direction he is going in, this promised to be a great year of more comfort and joy. As successful as his surgeries and treatments have been, little would be possible without generous donations from true animal lovers. Please help us continue to help those in need!
