Mentoring & Career Network
The Annapolis Trust believes the success of our students is rooted in the personal mentoring relationships we have developed with each of our students. Our mentoring cycle ideally starts before the student begins her/his technical training or college, continues through their higher education experience and provides assistance to students as they transition into their chosen career.
Our mentors provide inspiration and practical guidance to our students to ultimately encourage them to their fullest potential. They help them set short term academic and career goals and understand the “big picture.” The mentor shares their experiences as the student explores her/his career path and networking opportunities to help pave the way to a sustainable job.
There are several ways to participate in the Annapolis Trust mentoring program. A One-to-one mentor relationship can enrich a young person's life and that of the mentor! It requires a commitment of 3-5 hours/month and participation in several trainings and events during the year. A member of our Career Trust Network will be listed in our database as an industry resource for Annapolis Trust students who can connect them with opportunities such as internships, resume building and employment.

"Of all the elements that contribute to student success, research shows that mentoring is the foundation. When you give your time to help guide a student on a pathway to lifelong success, you are taking action and being a part of the solution in addressing inequities in education."
