OUR VISIONFITRAH means a person's natural disposition in Arabic — our simple vision is that every single child is born pure, innocent and deserving of a future to thrive regardless of their race, religion or gender.

Our missionFITRAH is on a mission to empower youth in the foster care system, court involved, homeless or out of school. By giving them a real paid job combined with mentorship, we will empower otherwise struggling vulnerable young adults. They will have a better outcome with their education, their work and their lives.

OUR STORY
Three years ago FITRAH was founded in Roseville, CA. After meeting a homeless woman and navigating through a never-ending series of challenges to help her, Nadia Niazi was determined to prevent this growing problem from happening. According to the new statistics, 50% of foster-youth transitioning out of the foster care system will end up homeless. This vulnerable group of youth is between the ages 16-25.
Nadia donated her online store which she built over 10 years to help launch this non-profit locally. Together with her close friends, they developed a program with a hands-on approach, a small social enterprise determined to do big things. |
