In 1997/1998 -13 people started on a journey to Wake up the Winston Community.
Those 13 people have made a difference in 1000's of lives.
The teens who have passed through the doors of the Winston Teen Center have all been touched by the vision that was theirs.
The Federal government in February 2000 granted the 501(c)(3) Status to Winston Area Community Partnership, often referred to as WACP (WakeUp)!
Today, in 2025 we are fortunate enough to have the working vision of:
Janet Buchmann, Bruce Justis, Max Kimmel, Penny Mills, Janet Morse, Dick Nichols, Mo Nichols, Joe Roszak, Kris Russell, Steve Schenewerk, Walt Taylor, Robert Wheeler, Edie Young.
Although there were many many hands that assisted in this vision, We pay tribute to those to whom the Winston Community Center that was donated by in 2007 to the City and Community of Winston.
Thank you will never be enough but is all we can give.
