Sound Studios Olympia is a locally founded and locally operated nonprofit music school. We have 2 locations, one right in the middle of the Arts District in downtown Olympia, and the other at the Capital Mall on the west side.

About Sound Studios Olympia
Welcome to Sound Studios Olympia (SSO), where the language of music transcends boundaries and connects hearts. As a locally founded and locally operated nonprofit music school, we are passionate about nurturing musical talent, fostering creativity, and building a vibrant community of artists.
Our Journey
SSO embarked on its musical odyssey at the tail end of 2018. Guided by a dedicated board of directors, we laid the foundation for what would become a haven for music enthusiasts. Our journey led us through twists and turns—like the notes of a beautiful melody—until we found our home on the corner of Jefferson and Legion right in the Arts District in Downtown Olympia as well as our unique location found right inside the Capital Mall on the west side. We are excited to see what comes next.

- Private Instruction: Our seasoned instructors, with decades of experience, provide personalized guidance across various instruments. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced musician, we tailor lessons to your unique journey.
- Community Engagement: We thrive on collaboration. Our teachers collaborate to benefit their students, creating an environment where music flourishes. We’ve worked with students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, including those in the foster care system and individuals who might otherwise struggle to afford lessons.
- Performance Opportunities: Music comes alive on stage. SSO hosts recitals, concerts, and festivals, allowing our musicians to share their artistry with friends, family, and the wider community. Always free to attend and participate in these performances are our way of connecting with our community.
