Josette Ross:
Josette has been dedicated to the Vision of building a new health facility for the Nisqually Indian Tribe. As a descendant from the Ross family she is deeply rooted in Nisqually Community.
This year Josette and her teams Vision of the new Health Facility with State of the Art technology and a tremendous tribute to Nisqually Culture came to fruition.
L3 is proud to support Josette through her educational goals as she debates so much of herself to further Indian Country in a very positive Way.
Masie Lu Volleundorff:
Maisie, a descendant of the Hicks family, has shown tremendous tenacity in working toward her degree. She has been dedicated to the future of teaching history to all when she has completed her degree in 2022.
Her strong desire to teach tribal history in a way that is honest and culturally appropriate will be welcome on many platforms.
L3 is proud to support this talented and intelligent young lady through her educational journey. She has made it through the difficulties of COVID 19 and changing the way she was attending school.
Masie will be an excellent teacher, Coming To a School near You Soon!!
Marissa Woodard:
Marissa, a descendant of the Simmons family, has worked at Nisqually and has displayed tremendous entrepreneurial skills working with the tribe and tribal members. She is a woman of many talents.
Marissa’s talents and education do not stop there. She has a personal Vision of ensuring equal justice for people of color. L3 is very happy to support her educational goals as we know she will make much progress for those in need in the future.

Josette Marie Ross
Ross Family descendant
Josette has been working with the Nisqually Indian Tribe over 8 years and has developed tremendous leadership skills. She has provided phenomenal leadership in projects, grant writing and event planning. She has technical skills that are valued greatly at the health clinic. She also works closely with a team of spiritual leaders and healers to bring sacred work to the Tribe. This young woman has dedicated herself to the tribe brining much professionalism to the administration and is so well like due to her ability to bring positive leadership to the many groups she works within. L3 is honored to provide Josette with a scholarship to help her pursue a Bachelor's degree from Evergreen State College. We hope she remains at Nisqually health and wellness for many years to come. Amber is an amazing young woman who has been working at Nisqually Indian Tribe as the Health Planner. She has been instrumental in writing and winning grants for the tribes Health department for several years. She has been key in putting together the financial plan for developing the new Nisqually Health and Wellness clinic that has recently broke ground. Her previous work included work on Infant Mortality and Indian homelessness. She has brought so much talent to the Tribe and we see benefits of her work every day. We truly hope that she continues with the Tribe sharing her skills and positive outlook. L3 is honors to provide Amber with a scholarship to assist her with her Master in Public Health degree. |

Maise Vollendorff
Daughter of Tribal Member Julie Palm & Hicks Family
Masie is currently enrolled in Central Washington University and is a graduate of South Puget Sound Community College. Her plans are to become a secondary education history teacher then minor in Native American culture studies. She has chosen this route because of her strong believe that school systems today are not give correct information on tribal heritage. She has a mission to ensure students are taught the correct history of tribes. L3 supports Masie’s work to the fullest and is honored to provide this young lady a scholarship to help her complete her education and do the much needed work for the Tribes. |

Tahni ArndtTahni Arndt, daughter of Tribal member Craig Arndt and Granddaughter to Mark Sison has a great love for people and our Tribes. She has completed an Bachelors degree is currently working Indian Country and states has a passion for HR, working towards certifications to excel in HR and protect the rights of Indian people in the workplace.
