Upcoming Programs

Our free programs run three times a year – during the Fall, Winter and Spring Semesters.  Here are the dates for the 2023-2024 school year:

Fall:  September 25-November 16, 2023
Winter: January 22- March 14, 2024
Spring: April 15-May 30, 2024

Dates may vary for certain programs. Online and in-person programs in Los Angeles are offered during these dates. 

Registration for our WINTER SESSIONS is now open.

Please see below for session times and the link to the appropriate enrollment form. On the form, you will be able to sign up for the day/time that works best for your schedule.  Each 7 or 8 week session meets once a week for 60-75 minutes.  Please note the program dates and ensure you can attend all sessions before signing up. 

You will receive an email confirming we received your enrollment form.  Then, approximately 2-3 weeks prior to the program, Lori Ann, our Program Coordinator, will contact you to confirm your session and provide additional details.  If you have any issues or questions about enrollment, please contact Lori Ann at [email protected]

Deadline to enroll is January 10th. We recommend you sign up asap as spaces will fill up fast!

Sages & Seekers is offered at various locations throughout the country through our licensed partners.  If you are interested in joining an in-person program and don't live in the Los Angeles area, check out our list of partners who may host a program in your area.

Why Participate?

Sages

​This program is an opportunity to share your life experience with an interested listener. This forum engages participants in a thoughtful examination of how life is lived and how personal challenges are overcome.  By sharing your story, students develop a greater appreciation of the elderly and their legacies.  Both generations discover commonalities and shatter stereotypes you have of one another.

If you are joining a Zoom program,  don’t worry if you are not tech savvy, we can help you get set up.  All you need is to be over 60 years old, have a good tablet or computer, and a reliable WiFi connection. 

Seekers

Do you enjoy speaking with people in other generations? Do you plan to pursue a career working with older people? Do you have a community service requirement in order to graduate? Are you looking for someone to talk to who will listen and not judge what you say?  

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, Sages & Seekers is the right program for you. We are different from other programs where you may be paired with an older person. We are NOT a mentoring program.

​Yes, you will learn things from your Sage and they may provide you with advice you can use throughout your life, but you have as much wisdom to share with them as they do with you. 

You will earn 10 hours of community service for participating in our 8-week program. 

You must be between the ages of 15-24 to enroll in one of our programs.  (15 year olds must be in 10th grade or above.)
