WHAT IS A FAR OUT VIRTUAL CHALLENGE?We have such an incredible community. It is rich in history, geological wonders, and outdoor recreation amenities. This winter, we hope you’ll join FAR in a series of virtual challenges to encourage you to learn more about the Royal Gorge Region by participating in scavenger games. Earn prizes just by participating, and compete against other people and families to win a prize pack for the individual / team with the most points at the end of 2 1/2 weeks.

HOW TO PARTICIPATEIn your app finder, search for Goosechase.
Search for ‘FAR Out Virtual Challenges’ and click on the challenge that is live. Complete all of the missions or just the ones you want to do. It’s up to you! 1. Download the mobile app through the App store / Play Store to an iOS or Android device 2. Open the app and create a GooseChase account or play as a guest (we suggest an account). 3. Use the magnifying glass icon to search for ‘FAR Out’ games or enter code 3K3EXZ. 4. Click ‘Join Game’. Each game is set up for ‘Individuals’, but that doesn’t mean that a family unit can’t all play together! Just one person’s account to complete games, and you’ll each get the participation prize.
Once you've joined the game, participation is easy. 1. Choose a mission that sounds fun to you. 2. Each mission requires proof, which can be a photo, a GPS check-in, or a written answer. When you complete the mission, you'll earn points. 3.Earn 50 points and you can stop by the Royal Gorge Regional Museum % History Center at any time (during regular operating hours) to get a FREE prize. (Must show proof of completion, so bring your phone.) 4. If you have the most points at the close of the game, you'll win the grand prize basket, worth up to $50. Check the leaderboard to see standings. |

WHAT YOU WINEach time you participate in a challenge and earn at least 50 points, you can earn a participation prize. This can be a sticker, keychian, etc. These will be made available at the Royal Gorge Regional Museum & History Center at 612 Royal Gorge Blvd. in Cañon City. Just show a staff member your Goosechase app and points total, and they’ll give you a FREE participation prize.
Each virtual challenge will also have an overall points total winner. That person (or team) will earn a prize basket, valued at over $50 each! If you’re the high points winner for a particular game, you’ll be notified by a FAR team member. In March, any participant who has accrued 500 points or more will receive a FREE FAR Out Virtual Challenges water bottle! |

We're a family and want to compete together, do we all still get a participation prize?
Yes! Even though the game is set up for 'individual' accounts, we expect and hope that whole families or households will compete for prizes. Just use one person's account, track your mission achievements, and then let us know how many people in your household participated when you come to pick up your participation prizes. (There is only one grand prize basket, however. You'll have to share!)
