Rescue, Rehabilitation and RewildingTaking Action for African Wildlife
The wildlife sanctuaries and vets associated with Afri-Vet are on the true front lines of African animal crises and care. African wildlife are harmed every day. Monkeys are captured for the pet trade, elephants are trapped in snares, and big cats are shot for wandering onto farms. Luckily, wildlife sanctuary experts dedicate their careers and risk, at times, their lives to rescue, treat and rehabilitate wildlife, enabling many to return to the wild while others are provided long term care in humane facilities. Unfortunately, declining tourism and philanthropic funds brought about by COVID are putting wildlife care at risk. African wildlife sanctuaries need our help more than ever so that they can carry on their brave and much-needed work in saving some of the most cherished and unique creatures on the planet. |
