“It is better to look ahead and prepare than to look back and regret.” -Jackie Joyner-Kersee |
Our program provide a space for like-minded women to connect with one another and gain inspiration, skills and establish long-term professional connections. The intimate space we have created enables women to feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning new skills. The intimacy of the space encourages Black women to be vulnerable in their efforts to eliminate economic barriers based on sex and race. QBQ provides resources that can truly impact a woman’s career trajectory. Members find ways to take accountability for their own success amongst the support of others. Members also gain access to successful people who are experts in their areas. These experts share their contact information and secrets to success with members, which creates the potential for meaningful connections in the future as members pursue their own projects. This provides a way for Black businesses to thrive in the long run by developing a self-sustaining supply chain. As Black women gain business exposure and learn about the journeys of other entrepreneurs, they are inspired and motivated to implement change in their own lives and communities.
Revolutionary Black GirlsSystemic and institutionalized racism has weighed
heavily on the backs of Black people for far too long. Our program aim to dismantle this system by promoting community advocacy. Our program focuses on empowering members and other stakeholders in the areas of civic engagement, political awareness, and civil rights. The community service initiative is dedicated to coordinating volunteers to participate in service opportunities throughout the city of Los Angeles and surrounding areas. |
“The function of freedom is to free someone else.” -Toni Morrison. |
Fit For The Culture“Perseverance is my motto.”– Madame C.J. Walker Health and fitness are crucial to the success and well-
being of Black women and girls. Fit for the Culture provides programs designed to promote healthy eating and an active lifestyle. From running a 5k to providing education on the use of herbs for healing, we offer a variety of workshops and programs to appeal to the diverse needs and personalities of Black women. |
Divine Wellness“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, Wellness is more than physical. Like other women of color, Black women experience emotional and intellectual violence daily. We work with a team of therapist, healers, and wellness coaches to incorporate the practices of yoga and meditation to promote holistic wellness amongst our community.

“Self-esteem means knowing you are the dream.” |
In-her BeautyGiven the history of colorism amongst Black women in a society built on white supremacy, this program aims to engage in deeper conversations that heal while simultaneously shedding light on the salience of the effects of society’s messages about beauty, body image, and hair. In-her Beauty builds self-confidence inside and out. This program emphasizes that true beauty starts from within, and therefore aims to boost members’ self-confidence.

Winner's Circle“No one can figure out your worth Winner’s Circle levels the playing field through financial literacy and the power of investing. There is a noticeable wealth gap and lack of financial literacy among Black women. Winner’s Circle aims to address these economic inequalities through collective investing and financial education, while leveraging access to resources and knowledge. This sets each member up to change the trajectory of the next generation.

Book Collective“We have to talk about liberating minds as well as liberating society.” -Angela Davis The Book Collective unites women who enjoy an engaging story and an occasional deep dive into a meaningful conversation. We aim to expand our perspectives on various topics. The Book Collective sometimes allows us to briefly escape reality, while other times it provides a space for self–discovery. We prioritize expanding our perspectives on various topics because we exist in a diverse society. To be competent, confident, and emotionally intelligent, it is imperative that we are more than merely aware of different experiences. We strive to be fluent in the skills of perspective-taking and empathy. We read various genres, so we have a book for everyone!

I believe it’s time that women truly owned their superpowers and used their beauty and strength to change the world around them.” – Janelle Monae |
Queen Bee YouThe Black experience can be so concretely defined in
the mainstream that it feels suffocating. There are mainstream ideas reflecting what people assume about Black people and how they should sound, live and act. This stagnates the fluidity of Blackness. This program explores Black culture and other cultures through the lenses of Black women and girls. Members build sisterhood over food while supporting local businesses, and they foster a brave space where women feel welcome to speak their truth. Our cultural explorations are not exclusive to Black American culture. We are open to learning about all cultures, but we prioritize Black-owned businesses. |
