Saretta Raheel, MBA
Chief Executive Officer

Saretta Raheel is a results-driven executive with over 10 years of experience in senior-level management, specializing in operations, finance, and strategic oversight. With a strong background in nonprofit management, Saretta excels in overseeing day-to-day operations, streamlining processes, and driving sustainable growth. Throughout her career, she has successfully led several high-impact initiatives in the Bay Area, focusing on developing and implementing new program initiatives, grant writing, campaign development, and targeted outreach efforts. 
Saretta’s ability to cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships has been a key driver of her success, particularly in securing major gifts from individual donors and building philanthropic partnerships. Her strategic approach to relationship-building has played a critical role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organizations she has served. 
A passionate advocate for community development and equity, Saretta is deeply committed to creating lasting impact. This commitment is evident not only in her fundraising and strategic initiatives but also in her mentorship of high-performance teams that help extend the reach and influence of the organizations she leads. 
Saretta holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Business Management, along with a Master’s degree in Business Management and Administration and a Master’s degree in Public Relations. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Communications, which complements her practical experience with academic rigor, enabling her to approach challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset. 
As the CEO at The Right Kind of Black Girl, Saretta is excited to leverage her expertise in operations, program development, and strategic management to drive the organization’s growth and impact. She is confident in her ability to lead the organization in advancing its mission, expanding community engagement, and ensuring long-term success.

​SHAMBRIA WILLIAMS, MSW
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

Shambria Williams is a natural advocate and changemaker. From standing up to bullies as a child to driving organizational change in college, she has always been a leader who turns challenges into opportunities for action. As the Founder and Broad President of The Right Kind of Black Girl, Shambria is committed to uplifting communities and fostering meaningful change. 
Born and raised in Southern California, she has spent over eight years as a nonprofit director, helping more than 100,000 children across California receive eyeglasses to support their academic success. Her passion for advocacy is deeply rooted in her lived experience, having grown up in a community impacted by systemic injustice—including incarceration, poverty, substance addiction, gang violence, and homelessness.
​Shambria earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology with an emphasis on Law and Society from California State University, Los Angeles. She later graduated with honors from the University of Southern California, earning a master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Community Organization and Business Innovation. Through her leadership, she continues to create pathways for equity, empowerment, and progress.

Ashley Sailor
Board Member

Ashley Sailor serves as a board member for The Right Kind of Black Girl, bringing years of experience in community engagement and nonprofit work. A California native, she has dedicated her time to volunteering with various organizations throughout Los Angeles, demonstrating her commitment to service and advocacy.
Ashley holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership. She is currently a Product Advisor at Southern California Gas Company, where she has worked for eight years. Her professional background spans multiple industries, including management consulting, real estate, fashion, and entertainment, where she has held key administrative roles.
​Outside of her professional and community work, Ashley enjoys hiking, Pilates, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Emma Riascos
Board Member

Emma Riascos is a dedicated advocate for social justice and equity, with a strong commitment to empowering Black women. Born in Buenaventura, Colombia, she immigrated to the U.S. at the age of seven and has since devoted her career to community organizing, policy advocacy, and strategic planning. As a board member of The Right Kind of Black Girl, Emma brings invaluable expertise in advancing initiatives that drive meaningful change.
With a professional background in sourcing and diversity, Emma has a deep understanding of the systemic challenges Black women face and has worked diligently to address these issues in both corporate and community spaces. She has held leadership roles in various organizations and committees, including serving as the inaugural president of a Black Employee Resource Group at one of her employers.
In her role at TRKBG, Emma plays a crucial part in shaping the organization’s strategies and programs, ensuring they remain impactful, effective, and responsive to the needs of the community. Her dedication to racial and gender equity fuels her efforts to create lasting change.

Destinee Mitchell
Board Secretary 

Destineé Mitchell is a seasoned community engagement manager with a proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that strengthen relationships between organizations and the communities they serve. She specializes in leading teams, designing innovative engagement initiatives, and providing expert public relations and outreach support for high-impact projects throughout the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.
With extensive experience in program and event management, professional development, and advancing equity-focused initiatives, Destineé is committed to fostering inclusive opportunities through her expertise in public policy, community engagement, and organizational strategy. She holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy & Management from Bowie State University.

Tamorra Sims
​Board Treasurer 

Tamorra Sims is a dynamic servant leader dedicated to driving lasting impact through operational excellence, community advocacy, and mentorship. With over a decade of experience, she has successfully implemented transformative strategies that have fueled organizational growth, streamlined operations, and enhanced client satisfaction. Her ability to develop innovative solutions has resulted in notable achievements, including generating nearly $1 million in additional revenue, improving staff retention, and increasing guest satisfaction.
Beyond her professional expertise, Tamorra is deeply committed to supporting underserved communities. She serves as a Volunteer Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association and sits on its Community Impact Committee, working to expand outreach in minority communities. Additionally, as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she mentors young women, demonstrating her dedication to empowering others and ensuring equitable access to resources for success.
​Tamorra’s leadership philosophy is rooted in uplifting those around her and fostering inclusive cultures of excellence. Guided by her unwavering belief that “there is always a way,” she has inspired teams and organizations to navigate challenges and achieve meaningful goals. As Treasurer of The Right Kind of Black Girl, she leverages her operational expertise, advocacy for equity, and passion for service to advance the organization’s mission and impact.
