The Hope Academy is not accredited, and that’s intentional—because students don’t need accreditation to succeed after high school. Homeschooled students successfully gain admission to great colleges, find meaningful careers, and thrive in the work force, not by way of accredited programs, but thanks to the individualized education they received. Accreditation is an expensive process that does not add any academic value to a program. Homeschooling offers each family the freedom to tailor learning to their morals and values while engaging each student's unique strengths, interests, and goals. This is so much more valuable than the strings that come attached to accreditation. Colleges recognize this and are more focused on a student’s academic achievement, transcripts, and standardized test scores than whether their homeschool program was accredited.
