Kim WilkinsThis country girl grew up in West Virginia loving the outdoors. Fell in love with my high school sweetheart and got married just after graduation. Four kids and eleven grandkids later, my husband and I sold our house and most of our belongings and started full-time RVing in 2020. We've been very blessed to witness so much of the beauty the United States has to offer.
When invited to first volunteer with a HALT session, I found just how healing horses could be. I watched as small children overcame their fears and teenagers experienced their first interaction with a horse and immediately fell in love with that connection. When you see a group of adults learning to trust in a horse in order to complete a team task, your heart melts. Time and time again I have been witness to the power of impact that lies in the hearts of these large animals. These blessings have enriched my life and when asked to serve on the Board of Directors, I was happy to serve and look forward to learning even more. |
