Sara Hiett is a native of Fort Worth. She established PCA in 2019 when she witnessed the need for additional art opportunities for the citizens in Fort Worth. She has been an art educator for the last 20 years with FWISD and the Catholic Diocese. She has taught ages 3-90 and truly believes there is an art form for everyone! It is all about the experience. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Saint Edwards University and Graduate hours in School Psychology from Texas Christian University. She has won numerous awards for her role in developing programs, community service, and teaching practices. Her experience with diverse populations is an asset to the organization. |
David OronaDIRECTOR, TREASURER
David Orona is an art educator on the Northside of Fort Worth. He has been with FWISD for the past 15 years. His students are all champions. Through his community murals, David is heavily involved in the community and finds creative ways to get people to work together to achieve success. Before teaching, David was a successful business owner and worked for over twenty-eight years in the advertising industry. He graduated from TCU with both a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. He is continuously working to improve our communities throughout the DFW area. |
Dr. Amanda AllisonDIRECTOR, SECRETARY
Dr. Amanda Allison is an Associate Professor of Art Education at Texas Christian University. For the past decade, she has developed and designed therapeutic art experiences for a variety of populations in Fort Worth. Her current projects include a mindfulness art curriculum for teens experiencing depression and a strengths-based art curriculum for adults experiencing Down’s Syndrome. She has contributed articles to Art Education, The Journal of the National Art Education Association, National Arts Policy Review, and Art Therapy: The Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. She has authored and co-authored book chapters in Standing (up) for a Change: Voices of Art Educators (2013) and Solution-focused therapy with children and adolescents: Creative and play-based approaches (2019). Dr. Allison loves to swim, cook, and create word puns that make people groan. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband Justin and their 11-year-old son, Arthur. |

Ann Walters is a retired school administrator and has been in education for over thirty years. Her primary focus as an administrator and educator is to foster the students' spiritual, social, and emotional lives in her care. Before moving to Texas, her Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, Chicago, prepared her to serve as the Director of the University Ministry at Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. Her Bachelor of Fine Arts, studies in Dance Movement Therapy, Pat B. Allen’s Open Studio process, and Soul Collage facilitator training inform her personal and collective art-making experiences. Ann believes expressive arts can bring hope and healing to individuals and communities. |
