Susan Ramirez is the founder and CEO of National Angels, a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the statistics for children, youth, and families experiencing foster care across the United States. In 2010, Susan envisioned the possibility of what consistent, wrap-around support for every child and youth in foster care could achieve. After becoming a foster parent, she activated the idea through a pilot program in Austin, Texas, and it was then that she realized its potential to transform lives on a national scale. Under Susan’s leadership, that program evolved into a high impact, results-driven model. The National Angels network has expanded to 21 chapters spanning 15 states. The radical support delivered by each chapter’s Love Box® and Dare to Dream® programs aims to change the statistics plaguing the child welfare system, and positively impact society as a whole. National Angels represents a sustainable solution to one of the country's toughest social issues. Susan hopes to reach every child and youth in her lifetime. Prior to founding National Angels, Susan had an established career with PulteGroup. Susan has been recognized as Woman Philanthropist of the Year by Texas Women in Business, and Most Worthy Citizen by the Austin Board of Realtors. She resides in Texas with her husband and two sons. |
