To remember and honor the life of Sweet Relief’s Executive Director, Rob Max.
Our dear friend Rob Max, the Executive Director of Sweet Relief, passed away unexpectedly September of 2017. To say that Rob loved music is an understatement. His passion for music, musicians and helping others shined through in his life and in his daily work with Sweet Relief. He was an incredible person and someone who would always take time out of his busy day to call and check in with family, friends, clients and musicians in dire need. When he wasn’t telling you an obscure trivia about your favorite band, he was finding innovative ways to help people in time of need. He intuitively made people feel at ease, brought a smile to everyone he met, and hope to the hopeless. Rob brought light into every room he stepped into and could find the silver lining in all situations. We will miss him greatly and know that Sweet Relief would not be what it is today without his compassion and wisdom. Our thoughts are with his beloved family and everyone who’s life he touched.
To honor his life and with his family’s blessings, we have created the Rob Max Memorial Fund for Elder Musicians. Rob was particularly concerned that these wonderful musicians would not get the care they need in what should be their golden years. To continue his work to insure that their old age will indeed be their golden years, money donated to this fund will go directly to help musicians age 65 and over, cope with illness, disabilities, and other age-related problems.
