Ninety-eight percent (98%) of every dollar raised goes directly to musicians and industry workers facing food insecurity in the form of gift cards for purchasing nutritious food, conveniently available at their local markets. And our partner, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, provides free Nutrition Counseling Services to many of these recipients.
To provide additional food security, Sweet Relief can also help recipients determine if they should apply to receive ongoing financial support from the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Those that do qualify, may also be able to double the buying power of their SNAP benefits when used at select food markets identified by the Fair Food Network.
