"Yachad's Hard Hats and Helping Hands program is a way, without taking up a lot of time or costing a lot of money, to make a large impact on certain people's lives... Our investment is whatever it takes. It's not a matter of money or hours; it's a matter of helping."
- John Eichberg z”l , Chairman, Eichberg Construction
Hard Hats and Helping Hands Home Repair Program recruits building contractors and skilled trades people to provide their expertise and services to Yachad's home repair program for free or at a substantially reduced fee. The program is a great way for contractors to network with other tradespeople, improve their visibility in the greater community to grow their service market.
Yachad's goal is to organize a highly skilled volunteer labor force to provide services to low-income homeowners throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Repairs to plumbing, electrical, and drywall are always needed. Yachad works with the contractor or tradesperson to develop a feasible scope of work. When possible, Yachad will provide reimbursement for materials. Contractors must be licensed and bonded.
