Trackside Families,
Trackside wouldn't exist without the incredible teens who inspire us daily. We're constantly blown away by their ideas and enthusiasm.
One of our remarkable teens, Ronan Conway, is training for his first-ever marathon on November 9. In pursuit of his goal, he approached us asking if he could raise funds for Trackside. We are truly humbled and grateful for his generosity.
Please read his story below.
"Hello, my name is Ronan Conway. I am a junior at Wilton High School, leader at Trackside Teen Center, and an avid runner. My running story began at Trackside Teen Center and I am hoping you can support this sport I love and a place where kids find things they love.
In middle school, I participated in many Trackside clubs and activities, including Trackside’s Running Club, which inspired me to start running in high school. I have run on the Wilton Cross Country team and Track team every year and have qualified for state competitions in both sports. Outside of school programs, I have also run two organized half-marathons so far.
I have co-led the Trackside Running club and I hope other middle school students get inspired to start running and fall in love with the sport as I did. At 16, I am now eligible to run some full marathons. I plan to run my first organized marathon on November 9, 2024, the Pocantico Hills Marathon, in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
100% of your donation will go directly to support Trackside Running Club and other Trackside clubs to help inspire teens’ involvement in something they love."
Ronan hopes to raise between $4000 & $5000 by Nov 9th.
