Francine Miller previously co-founded WellCall, a healthcare company based in San Francisco, which established a new model for the delivery of coaching and comprehensive prevention and wellness services to over 4 million members. WellCall was acquired by a leading Health Advocacy company. She is a seasoned healthcare professional with experience managing a $82 million corporate health budget, negotiating contracts and managing legislative activity regarding health policy. |
Dr. Samuel Mwubahamana, Clinical Lead“At first I could not believe how much heart disease and diabetes we were diagnosing. We have to treat patients now and educate our families about diet and exercise.”
Dr. Samuel is an MD and Co-founder of Goodlife Clinic. He established and runs operations at the Kigali Branch and secured approval, trained and launched the Musanze Branch. Previously he was a doctor in the public health system for 6 years and with telemedicine provider Babylon Health. Dr. Samuel is most proud of his work as a trusted physician counselor to his patients and colleagues in medicine. |

Matt brings 15+ years of experience as a global health implementer, donor, and advisor, now at Partners in Health. He previously served as Director, Markets at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), where he oversaw a portfolio of grant and market shaping investments in access to sexual & reproductive health products. Prior to that, he led business operations for healthcare enterprises in East Africa, including as Director of Business Operations for Jacaranda Health, a maternity care provider in Kenya. |

Dr. Jean-Baptiste Mazarati, Board Chair“Rwanda deserves a better patient experience.”
Advisor Jean-Baptiste is a professor at the University of Global Health Equity, and notably was the former head of Rwanda Biomedical Services- specifically the National Reference Lab, Blood Transfusion Services and Medical Technology Divisions. Jean-Baptiste holds a PhD in Tumor Biology and was previously a Jesuit priest. |
Dr. Melsa Omaya, Board Member“I believe we can save lives and empower patients with a holistic approach.”
Advisor Melsa is a Fellow of the Ford Foundation Global Fellowship, an award she received in recognition of her efforts in expanding quality health services for the most vulnerable and especially gender based violence victims and children living with disabilities. Melsa is currently pursuing a masters degree (residency) in clinical oncology at the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta National Hospital. Previously she was the director of clinical services at Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) in Kenya. Melsa is also a certified public accountant. |

Josh founded The Access Project and Health Builders, two NGOs which worked on primary health care and pharmacy across Rwanda and with his wife founded Heaven and The Retreat in Kigali. |

Goodlife Access works in close partnership with Goodlife Ivuriro (Clinic) and Goodlife Pharmacy. Together, these businesses offer essential healthcare services and cost-effective, high-quality products reaching 20,000 customers per month across nine branches.
Over the coming five years, they will grow to 35 locations in Rwanda, and serve over 2M clients per year.
Our partnership will leverage these platforms to deliver Goodlife Access's programming at even greater scale. Our goal is to subsequently replicate this model of public-private partnership with other health businesses across the continent.
