Meet Rolanda:Rolanda was adopted as a kitten from Friends for Life, but fate brought her back to us recently as a stray. This independent girl is looking for a forever home that can accommodate her outstanding personality and slight, visual impairment. Rolanda is a sweet lover and, as an older cat, she can be a bit grumpy at first, but quickly warms up to people and other mature cats. Rolanda likes her space but is drawn to friendly voices and needs cuddles. She has had a tough go at life and has the scars to prove it but that does not stop her from being a loving companion. In her forever home, she will sit next to you on the couch, hang out on the bed, and be a buddy who will always be nearby, as she is full of trust and love. She is great with other older, independent cats like her, and will do her best in an adult only home. Rolanda is visually impaired in one eye, but has no issues navigating stairs, cat forts and her favorite window perches to meow, squeak, and chirp at the birds outside. She relies on lifelong daily eyedrops for Glaucoma, which she tolerates well. This confident lady will need a calm and predictable home with a family that will allow her time to transition and warm up to them, but she will give her all as she seeks human contact and affection. Rolanda is currently living in a foster home so contact us to arrange a meet and greet with this sweet girl.

Meet Sunshine:Hi, I'm Sunshine! As my name suggests, I am a bright light in my foster parent's day! I am a beautiful young gal who's curious, especially about drawers and closets. The cool thing about me, though, is that I just want to know what's in them. Once my curiosity has been satisfied, I don't need to re-explore the same space twice. I love to play, and because I'm such a spunky youngster, I play hard. Wand toys, scratch towers, and motion activated toys are awesome. My favorite toy is a fabric mouse. I carry it from room to room and I never lose it. I like my chill time just as much as my play time, and my ideal rest spot is a quiet, semi-enclosed space. I'm very social with my humans, including the child-sized ones. I love to be petted and held. I have tested positive for FELV, so you'll want to talk with the adoption counselors and shelter manager to learn more about that.

Meet Clint:Meet Clint! This handsome boy is currently 6 months old and about 26 pounds, and he's an Australian Shepherd/Heeler. This guy wanted to show off tricks during his photo shoot, and was happy to let us see he knows "sit" and "high five" (preferably showing for treats!). He knows basic commands such as "sit," "shake," and "lay down." He is working with our volunteers to master "roll over." Clint is treat motivated and eager to please! He pulls for the first minute or two of a walk, but once he settles, he has nice leash manners. He enjoys belly rubs and snuggling. He is still working on the return portion of fetch! He'll do best in a home with kids 5+. He's a happy pup looking for his forever home!

Meet Whimsy:Whimsy is a stunning princess who is very loving and looking for her forever home. Whimsy is quite the conversationalist & lap kitty. Whimsy was recently diagnosed with diabetes. This condition is fairly easy to manage. She has a special diet and receives insulin twice a day. Whimsy is very playful and enjoys being pet and loves to give soft head bunts. She loves chasing the laser toy, cat nip toys and the bird wand toy.

Meet Pluto:Pluto is a 3 year old, 24 pound Pug who joined us recently from a county facility. He's a happy guy who loves hanging out with his human friends. He has met other dogs but he can bark when he sees another dog (imagine he's saying "hey, hi! How are you? I want to meet you really bad!") but he's also a little forward when he meets other dogs, so he wants to be your only canine companion. He'll do best in a home with a yard for potty breaks, where he can go outside without a leash. Pluto likes to be a lap dog. He seeks attention, and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He likes to play with toys, and knows basic commands such as "sit."

Meet Adina:Adina is a sweet and quiet middle-aged girl with a gentle disposition. She does show her playful side on occasion, and loves both mouse and wand toys. After given some time to warm up, she is affectionate with her people and will bunt against you to encourage you to pet her. Adina has also been known to sit on a lap or two. She likes chin scratches and will even roll over for a couple of belly rubs. She is looking for her happily ever after and hopes her new family finds her soon. Adina tested positive for FIV, but is otherwise, very healthy. She can go on to live a long, healthy and happy life. Our adoption counselors can provide more information about FIV if you're not familiar with it
