The Desert Winds Freedom Band is always looking for new members. You don’t have to be a professional musician to play in our band. We have members with wide ranging musical abilities, and everyone works hard to make the band sound good. People of all ages and all band instruments are welcome. You need to supply your own instrument (except percussion), you must read music, and you have to attend rehearsals regularly. Even if you’re not sure the band is for you, come give us a try!
The Band plans to begin rehearsals for our 23rd Season on September 5, 2024 at 7 pm at the Jewish Community Center located at 332 W. Alejo Road, Palm Springs, CA. Besides the Symphonic Band, there are opportunities to play in the Bands smaller ensembles. Membership dues this year are $90. New members are provided with a 90-day dues free period.
