OUR PASSION IN ACTION

Mary O Foundation reflects my passion in action. Having experienced the challenges of being a single mother, teetering on the edge of homelessness and financial hardship, I comprehend the stark contrast between having and lacking. This understanding propelled the creation of the Mary O Foundation, with a mission centered on supporting single mothers, children, widows, the homeless, and more.

At Mary O Foundation, our aim is to provide essential tools such as education, feeding, skills training, and development. Our Education program strives to reintegrate children and school dropouts into the educational system, steering them away from the dangers on the streets.

The feeding programs work towards alleviating poverty, while the Skills Acquisition program equips individuals with essential training for life success.

Our goal transcends meeting material needs; we aspire to instill godly principles, fostering self-sufficiency. Moreover, we concentrate on cultivating a positive self-image, empowering our clients to make positive contributions to their communities and fostering spiritual maturity.

MEET THE FOUNDER

​Dr. Mary Obilana

Popularly know as Mary O—is a visionary philanthropist, author, and gospel recording artist with a passion for restoring hope to underserved communities. In 2008, she founded the Mary O Foundation to provide food, encouragement, and life-changing support to individuals and families experiencing hardship.​

​What began as a humble outreach has grown into a dynamic organization serving both local and international communities through feeding programs, homeless support, school sponsorships, youth mentorship, and empowerment initiatives.

MEET OUR VICE PRESIDENT

Elizabeth Shola-Williams

Elizabeth Shola-Williams is a dynamic leader, wife, mother, mentor, and passionate advocate for healthy homes and thriving communities. Serving as the Vice President of the Mary O Foundation, Elizabeth plays a vital role in expanding the foundation’s mission and impact across local and international communities.

A woman of many gifts, Elizabeth is:

• A certified relationship and marriage counselor, helping individuals and couples build stronger, healthier, faith-centered relationships.
• A mentor and motivator, committed to guiding others toward emotional wellness, purpose, and personal growth.
• A culinary creative with her own signature sauce collection that represents culture, excellence, and entrepreneurship.
• A media personality, hosting her inspiring talk program “Moments With Lizzy,” where she empowers viewers to pursue wholeness, faith, and family success.
• A university graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree.

Elizabeth’s heart for service aligns beautifully with the vision of the Mary O Foundation. Her leadership, warmth, and passion for people help drive programs that uplift the underserved, nurture families, and strengthen communities.

Dr. Mary O is also:

A published author, with inspiring books including Lioness Arise, Lion Arise Again, Wonderful Romantic Ideas, and IFE (Love).
