This production is set on a bare stage (no set, no set decoration, no props) – with only Miller’s words and the director of course, to guide you.

CHARACTERS – 6 M, 2 F
ITALIAN ACCENT NOT REQUIRED
EDDIE CARBONE (Leading Role) A man in his 40s. Works hard as a longshoreman. A demanding head of the family and Miller’s common man.
CATHERINE, Beatrice and Eddie’s Niece (Leading Role) - She is almost 18 and looking for love. Older women who can play younger should audition.
BEATRICE, Eddie’s wife (Leading Role) - An intelligent woman who knows her marriage to Eddie is in trouble and is aware of Eddie’s obsession with Catherine.
RODOLFO (Leading Role) - Illegal immigrant from Italy. 20s. Must be able to sing Tenor. He falls in love with Catherine and Eddie doesn’t like it.
ALFIERI, an older man, 50 – 60 (Leading Role) A lawyer who advises Eddie and also serves as the “Greek chorus” for the play.
MARCO, late 20s, (Supporting Role) - Older brother of Rodolpho. He is also an illegal immigrant from Italy.
LOUIE, 30s, (Supporting Role) - Friend of Eddie. Looks up to Eddie. This actor will understudy either Rodolpho or Marco.
IMMIGRATION OFFICER, 20-30, (Supporting Role) - This character will have few lines in the play but will serve as understudy for either Marco or Rodolfo. Maybe, even Louie.

AUDITIONS – Saturday January 11, 10am – 2pm
 Sunday, January 12, 10am – 2pm.
Callbacks: Sunday January 12 at 3pm
LOCATION:  The Vortex Theatre
Actors should prepare a one-minute dramatic monologue of their choosing. It can be from A View from the Bridge or another contemporary English language play. Also please bring a head shot or recent photo.
