Wild Wonderful Women in the Woods Weekend Retreat
It's time to unplug, reconnect, and recharge. This weekend is about finding inspiration and restoration in nature. Continuum, yoga, arts & crafts, delicious healthy meals, and music…choose to do it all, or take this time to breathe, rest, meander at your own pace.
We keep our programs small so we can be flexible to address the needs of individuals and the group. Let us know how we can make this weekend work for you!

Continuum is a Somatic Movement modality pioneered and developed by Emilie Conrad and Susan Harper. All Somatic Movement forms emphasize attending to our inner experience of moving more than the external shapes or forms we are practicing. Continuum recognizes that as humans we are an expression of the creative intelligence that is so plentiful in the natural world. In particular we are, like the planet, about 2/3 water. When we invite our systems in to more fluidity, through movement, breath, sound and our generous attention, we have the opportunity to increase interoceptive awareness, create new neural pathways, and notice our habits around how we live in our bodies and minds. We can have more choice around how we are in relationship to ourselves and our lives. In this workshop, we will be exploring ways to support and ground the powerful electromagnetic field of our very perceptive hearts. Lauren will offer information, images, embodied anatomy practices, as well as movement, breath, and sounds for participants to explore. Continuum classes tend to be relaxing as well creative and enlivening- please wear clothes that are easy to move in, and layers to stay comfortable no matter the temperature. Lauren Wadsworth has been a Somatic Movement Educator since 1985, and has been in private practice as a massage and bodywork practitioner since 1980. She started offering the practice of Continuum in 2003. Lauren’s back ground teaching the Alexander Technique, her many trainings in bodywork, energy work and anatomy, her long time practices in meditation and Authentic Movement, and her dance and improvisational theater background, as well as her deep connection to the natural world all inform her teaching of Continuum. |
