2016
Care Kitchen Outreach did its first food rescue, distributing over 250 meals to those in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation ministry at Set Free Church.
2017
CKO became a 501c3 and added two ministries to our distribution network: Stonebrook Family Ministry and Project Connect Nashville.
2018
Our 'Food Donor Network' continued to grow with the addition of The Country Music Hall of Fame, Lipscomb University, Susan's Catering, MM Events, Chef's Market, Panera Bread, Logan's Roadhouse and Cul2vate Farms.
2020
CKO rescued and delivered 2 tons of food to Middle TN tornado victims. In the first 4 weeks of the covid-19 pandemic, we collected food from 15 locations, resulting in 12.5 tons of food rescued. We then distributed this to 10 local ministries, delivering 49,000 meals and feeding the homeless right out of the van.
2021
Rescued food from Lipscomb and Belmont, delivering it straight to the Nashville Rescue Mission.
July 2022
Our beloved founder, Ron Camacho, passed away. He was passionate about feeding the community and worked to do so until his passing. Help us to continue the work that Ron so passionately loved by donating in his memory.
