Virginia serves as the Interim Executive Director, overseeing all aspects of the non-profit’s operations, including strategic planning, fiscal management, community relations advocacy, operational efficiency, and program management, all in compliance with the Kansas Office of Refugees (KSOR) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) 

Melynda Cashman

Melynda ​is responsible for receiving volunteer applications, interviewing potential volunteers, and scheduling orientation sessions. She manages communication by keeping volunteers informed about upcoming opportunities, and writing a monthly newsletter to engage volunteers with the organization’s activities and updates

Gretchen Gier

Gretchen is a Case Manager responsible for the R&P, RCA, RMA, RMS and RHP/ReMHI programs

Our Teams Purpose

Since our founding in 2021, Manhattan Area Resettlement Team has helped hundreds of individuals and families in the Manhattan. From providing emergency assistance to helping people find stable housing, we are proud of the impact we have made. But there is still much work to be done, and we are committed to continuing our efforts.
