Janelle Brooks
Co-Founder & President Janelle Brooks is one of the Hub Co-Founders and served as Executive Director during its formative stages. She is a serial entrepreneur and has been involved with the founding of seven companies, including FileShare and Yond, both of which made the Inc. 500. She currently serves as Co-Founder and President of Multurism, a media company covering news on the transformative technologies that will impact humanity. |
Rosemary Williams
Board Vice President Rosemary has lived in Acampo since 2000. She has worked with many non-profits focused on children including being a Trustee at Stockton Cradle. Rosemary originally joined as Recruiting Director for Kids Now and has also served as a mentor to several young girls. She joined the board and is focused on ensuring that everyone in the community knows about Kids Now. Rosemary also works as a recruiter at MLF Legal Search. |
John Fernandez
Board Secretary John has served as a volunteer with Kids Now over the past four years assisting with fundraising events and community partnerships. With a background in philanthropy and non-profit administration, he joined the board in 2015 and is focused on volunteer recruitment and fundraising events. Outside of Kids Now, John works for Grace Community Church. |
Dawn Redding
Board Treasurer Dawn has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and tutoring organizations. They joined Kids Now in 2011 and has served in multiple roles including Mentor, Fundraising, Class Director and Volunteer Coordinator. In spring 2013, Dawn stepped in as Executive Director to lead Kids Now through its next phase of growth. Outside of Kids Now, Dawn works in sales for R&M Capital. |
Michael Allen
Board Member Michael has over twelve years of experience conducting research for government agencies and NGOs. He has extensive experience designing and implementing evaluations of economic, health, and education programs. Dr. Allen manages over 25 researchers, oversees a portfolio of more than 20 research projects, and provides strategic vision for NOR's growth. His training in applied statistics and econometric methods provides him with powerful tools to investigate program impacts in challenging situations. |
Norma Hallock
Board Member Norma Hallock recently relocated to Acampo from Chicago. Norma spent 9 years teaching at-risk students in the city of Chicago and witnessed first-hand the positive impact a mentor program can have on a child. Her passion for serving children, combined with her 8+ years as the owner/operator of a small business is ultimately what led her to Kids Now. She is currently focused on developing our existing partnerships, increasing our fundraising efforts and helping with our recruiting efforts. |
Jay Barefield
Board Member Jay has served on the Board of Directors for Stockton Family Alliance. He joined the board and also served as a Relationship Manager to help support Kids Now original mentoring relationships. Jay is focused on expanding partnerships of the organization. Outside of Kids Now, Jay runs a small business that is focused on serving families with children. |
